Lab Member: Liza Barnes
Liza Barnes is a first-year doctoral student in Organizational Behavior at Leeds School of Business. Prior to joining Leeds, Liza received her undergraduate degree in Organizational Studies and Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. After graduating, she spent three years working as an implementation consultant for Epic, a large healthcare software system in Wisconsin. She then spent a year working in client operations at Freebird, a travel tech startup in Cambridge, MA. Her research interests are primarily focused on positive organizational scholarship, employee retention, and compassion in the workplace.
Lab Member: Vic Marsh
Vic Marsh is a third-year PhD candidate in organizational behavior at the Leeds School of Business. His research interests include influence, leadership, team and organizational development, and human resources / talent strategy. Prior to joining Leeds, Vic was a U.S. diplomat posted to Cyprus, Hong Kong & Macau, and the Secretary of State’s headquarters team. He holds a BA from Stanford with honors in international security studies and a master’s degree in the same field from Princeton.
Lab Member: Jessi Rivin
Jessi Rivin is a first-year PhD student in Organizational Behavior at Leeds School of Business. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business Administration from the University of Arizona. Her research interests include perceptions of leadership, power and influence, motivation, and unethical behavior in the workplace. Prior to joining Leeds, she worked as a research assistant at the Organizational Behavior Lab at Eller College of Management.
Lab Member: H. Phoenix Van Wagoner
Phoenix Van Wagoner is a fourth-year organizational behavior PhD candidate in the Organizational Leadership division at the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business. Phoenix’s research focuses on leadership. Through examining the daily experiences of diverse leaders, his work contributes to our understanding of inclusive workplaces, follower justice perceptions, and employee well-being. He presents his work at professional conferences including the Academy of Management (AOM) and the Interdisciplinary Leadership Symposium (IPLS). Prior to beginning his PhD Phoenix graduated with Distinction from Colorado College with a BA in Economics.
